Congress met SP of Khowai district yesterday in protest of obstruction to continue democratic activity as part of democratic right of opposition parties in the state.
Sources said that a five member delegation of Teliamura District Congress including Bikram Kishore Sinha, Abani Mohan Mallik, Dharani Debbarma, Rakhal Tarafdar and Khsitish Bhowmik submitted a memorandum to SP.
The members of the delegation alleged that Police administration is not giving permission to perform political activity and organizing programmes in spite of movement on the demand once and again. A group of miscreants are attacking and assaulting people by entering at their houses day after day.
Even the assaulted people are not daring to lodge complain to police.
The delegation demanded to file Suo- moto case on behalf of affected families and to punish the miscreants. Otherwise Congress will be bound to organize Law Disobedience movement in question of establishing democratic right.
