Col C K Nayudu Trophy Under 23 Cricket: Tripura on verge to win their third match on trot

Tripura Under 23 cricket team is just a step away to create history as on the last day tomorrow they need 7 wickets against Goa to register their third win on the trot in the ongoing Col C K Nayudu trophy under 23 cricket tournament. At the end of day three today chasing 232 runs to win, Goa scored 78 for the loss of 3 wickets. On the last day Goa need further 154 runs while Tripura need only 7 wickets to wrap up another famous win.

Tripura scored 240 runs in their first innings while Goa made 209 runs and thus Tripura took crucial 31 runs first innings lead. In their second innings once again with the bat Shyam Sakil Gon played a responsible knock and also brilliant fifty from Samrat Sutradhar took the score to 200. Now all eyes will be on the bowlers as they need to maintain their quality in the last day and if they get success then there will be no stopping for the visitors to grab their third win.

In the morning today at Sanguem Cricket Gound in Goa, the visiting team Tripura started their second innings from the overnight score of 19/1 and lost Rabisankar Murasingh (9) early. Also Arkaprabha Sinha went out for just 6 runs. But on the other hand Samrat Sutradhar was batting well and along with Shyam Sakil Gon started to build the innings. Samrat completed his half century but went out soon after scoring 54 from 87 balls with 7 fours. Before his departure Samrat Sutradhar added 35 runs with Shyam Sakil Gon for the fourth wicket.

Subham Ghosh batted well for his 40 balls 31 while Shyam Sakil Gon went out after scoring 46 from 86 balls with 7 fours. In the end Tripura made 200 from 73.2 overs. Among the bowlers Amulya Pandrekar picked up 4 wickets. Chasing 232 runs to win Goa made 78 runs for the loss of 3 wickets Samar Dubhashi on 25 Suyash S Prabhudessai on 24 remained unbeaten. Among the bowlers Tapas Mandal, Neelambuj Vats and Viky Saha picked up 1 wicket each.
