Col C K Nayudu Trophy Under 23 cricket: Tripura faces huge defeat, ends at no 3

Tripura batsmen failed drastically in both the innings and thus faced a huge defeat in the hand of host Rajasthan today in the ongoing Col C K Nayudu trophy under 23 cricket tournament. Rajasthan defeated Tripura by a huge margin of an innings and 374 runs and thus stopped Tripura to make a place in the next round of the tournament.

Before this match Tripura was at the no 1 position in the points table but in this match the batsmen batted so badly that the match ended within the third day. With this loss Tripura made a sad end to the tournament being at the no 3 position.

In the morning today at Sawai Man Singh stadium in Rajasthan, host Rajasthan declared their first innings on a mammoth score of 616/7. Notably Tripura scored only 123 runs in their first innings. Tripura started their second innings with 493 runs behind and once again surrendered in front of Rajasthan bowling attack and bundled out for a mere 119 runs in their second innings.

Devnarayan Kumar top scored with 29 while Arkaprabha Sinha made 26 and Shyam Sakil Gon and Mithun Debbarma scored 16 runs each. Among the Rajasthan bowlers A R Lamba picked up 6 wickets. Rajasthan won the match by an innings and 374 runs.
