CM lays highest priority on protection of health of mother and children

AGARTALA:

Chief Minister Manik Sarkar instructed the officials of Health department to give highest priority for protection of health of mothers and children. Chief Minister gave this instruction at the review meeting of Health department held in civil secretariat today. Health minister Badal Choudhury, Chief Secretary, Principal Secretary, Finance Secretary and higher officials of Health department were present in the meeting.

The issues like providing effective health service at different levels Medical service, ensuring supply of emergency medicine, increasing quality of food for patients under treatment, increasing encouragement allowance for ASHA workers at village area, increasing facility of ‘ Tripura Health Assurance Scheme for Poor’ have been reviewed in the meeting.

During meeting Chief Minister emphasized on rapid detection of disease and providing medical service to the patients who come in the hospital.

Chief Minister said, diagnosis and detection of disease are important part in medical service. He advised to strengthen proper diagnosis and detection of disease for proper treatment of patients. Chief Minister expected that ensuring developed health service at PHCs and Community Health Centers would help to reduce pressure on Hospitals.

Besides Chief Minister advised the Health minister to make a plan within next one month to develop diagnosis and detection of disease at PHCs, Rural, Social and Subdivision Health Centers by making a team of Health Secretary, Director and experienced doctors. Emphasizing on necessity of medicine at hospitals Chief Minister stressed on providing necessary medicine at the hospitals.  He also stressed on more allotment of fund for providing medicine at hospitals and providing hygienic food in the hospitals.

He also advised to increase technical skill for operating the machines in the hospitals and increasing ambulance service.
