Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb inaugurated first Children’s Festival organized by Rabindra Nazrul Sanskriti Charcha Kendra at the ground nearby Charilam Bazar today. Later the children of Nabaprantik Orphanage performed the inaugural song.
Speaking on the occasion Chief Minister expressed his satisfaction for gathering of huge people at festivals of the state in comparison to previous period. Referring many drug smugglers are in jail at present he said, people of the state are dreaming now to make ‘Sreshtha Tripura’. He appealed the parents and family members to give a chance to the children to grow up their mind and to extend hand to build up their character.
Local MLA and Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Debbarma stressed on necessity of games and sports for developing the mind of children while children are being addicted in mobile phone. He said, the State Government is providing Rs. 500 to each of 69,716 children of different Anganwadi centres of the state. He stressed on building awareness to develop in built talent among children.
Among others SW & SE minister Santana Chakma, BDO of Charilam Binki Saha, District Education Officer Habul Lodh were present on the occasion.
