CM appeals media to show right direction

UDAIPUR:

Tripureswari Mandir is the center point of meeting of people from different religion. People of different language and religion assemble here at the time Diwali forgetting all differences, said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb during his speech at felicitation programme organized by Udaipur Press Club at Udaipur Town Hall today.

Describing news paper as 4th pillar of democracy in the country he said that he would take initiative to fulfill demand of Udaipur Press Club. He also appealed media to show right direction to the society.

Thanking the friends of Left Front for voting BJP he said, “They have done silent revolution to bring BJP into power.”

Criticizing 25 years Left Front rule for spoiling future of Tripura he said, “Police has been instructed take action against drug sellers, land mafias and home mafias”  

Besides, Udaipur Press Club felicitated Tourism and Transport minister Pranajit Sinha Roy, MLA Rampada Jamatia and MLA Biplab Ghosh.

President of the Press Club Apuram Sarkar and Secretary Dilip Dutta handed over memento to the Chief Minister. Vice president Tapas Majumder and Assistant Secretary Debabrata Rudra handed over memento to Tourism minister Pranjit Sinha Roy. Despite this the Press Club felicitated two editors of news paper from Agartala.
