Newly appointed Chief Justice of Tripura High Court Justice Sanjoy Karol is all set to take oath as the Chief Justice of the court on November 14 next.
The swearing in ceremony will take place at old Raj Bahvan palace compound early in the morning which is going to be administered by Governor Prof. Kaptan Singh Solanki.
Meanwhile, The Supreme Court collegiums had proposed the name of Justice Sanjay Karol presently serving at Himachal Pradesh High Court following the elevation of former chief justice Ajay Rastogi to the Supreme Court. However, senior Justice Subhasis Talaptra was appointed as the acting Chief Justice till the arrival of Justice Karol.
Notably, Justice Karol obtained his degree in Law from Himachal Pradesh University, enrolled as an advocate in the year 1986, practiced in various Courts, including Supreme Court of India. He also discharged constitutional duties as Advocate General of Himachal Pradesh from 1998 to 2003. He was designated as Senior Advocate in the year of 1999. He also remained on the Senior Panel for Central Government, Supreme Court of India. And he was elevated as Judge of Himachal Pradesh High Court on 8th March, 2007.
