'Centre has available fund, but Left shows no interest,' says Union Minister in Tripura

Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Vijay Sampla expressed concern over the Left front government’s apathy on taking the central schemes meant for the welfare of the people of the states. He was addressing a press conference at a guest house on Tuesday.

Expressing concern over the non-cooperation from the state government on welfare of persons with disabilities and others, Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Vijay Sampla said there are so many welfare schemes for the benefit of the prevailed section of people but the Left front government do not show interest in placing proposals to the centre. The Centre can’t do anything if the state doesn’t come forward with specific proposal or estimate.

Meantime when the ruling CPI-M and its Left front government has been voicing against the centre of not flooring adequate fund to the state, the Union Minister Vijay Sampla said that the centre has available funds with it and can be floored only if the state comes up with certain proposals.

However, the BJP state observer Sunil deodarh and other party leaders remained present in the press conference on Tuesday.
