Pay Revision w.e.f 01-01-2017, opposing formation of a Subsidiary Tower Company along with two charter point of demands the "All Unions and Associations of BSNL" have called two day strike from Tuesday. The strike will be observed for two days on 12 and 13thDecember.
Along with the nation, the state BSNL unit have also observed strike and staged protest outside BSNL office on Tuesday morning.
Talking to media, the BSNL workers stated that As per the recommendations of the 3rd Pay Revision Committee, which were already approved by the Union Cabinet, the employees of BSNL are not eligible for pay revision, w.e.f 01-01-2017.
The recommendations of the 3rd PRC says that the employees of a PSU are not eligible for pay revision, if the company had not earned profit during the preceding three years.
Demanding to immediately fulfill the long pending demand, the employees are observing strike.
