Election Commission may announce schedule of state assembly poll for 2018 at any time. Meanwhile huge worry is prevailing among the political parties about the time of assembly poll. At the same time the voters are in happy mode at Sabroom subdivision while two political parties are conducting election campaign at full swing.
Sabroom subdivision has two constituencies including 40 Sabroom and 39 Manu constituencies. Dominance of ruling CPI-M has been prevailing at both the constituencies during last two decades irrespective of more or less development. There was no powerful opposition during that long period and it was the plus point of ruling party. But political experts opined that the assembly poll of 2018 will be the battle of Mahabharat and none would leave their land without war. At the same time public relation is going on all over day and night with the voters who are free from group based politics.
Meanwhile BJP has increased its power at 40 Sabroom and 39 Manu constituencies which were free from opposition during last 24 years. Sources said that BJP has enhanced strength of the party at village level imitating the style of ruling party. The party formed stronger committees at all booths. The party organs became stronger by organizing meeting and rallies everyday.
Observing the situation panic is increasing among the ruling Left Front. So the divisional leaders are busy all over the day in calculation of vote. Meanwhile group politics became apparent in the ruling party. Besides whispering started about candidate of ruling party.
From information it revealed that crisis is prevailing inside ruling party to seek out eligible leadership. Huge difference of opinion is prevailing among ruling party about selection of candidate. A section of the party is in favour of selection of present MLA Rita Kar Majumder at 40 Sabroom constituency while another section is in favour of selection of divisional secretary of CPI-M Dipak Majumder. At the same time another section is demanding to select Manisha Debbarma, wife of Jitendra Choudhury as candidate.
Present MLA Prabhat Choudhury is also one step forward as candidate of 39 Manu constituency who known as honest person. He came in politics leaving his job at Agriculture department. It is suspected that ruling party could face embarrassing situation at tribal hamlets although the constituency is known as strong hold of CPI-M. Because, the local leaders of the party are allegedly involved with corruption and nepotism.
Considering all the aspects the election of 2018 could be big challenge to the ruling party in comparison to that of 2013 at Sabroom and Manu constituencies. At present the ruling party is at a position to reply many allegations from common people and BJP is trying to became champion in both the constituencies utilizing weakness of CPI-M.
