A study which was based in malaria endemic blocks of South Tripura district of Tripura State says that Tripura is highly affected with Malaria and Dengue. The area is highly receptive for malaria transmission on account of tropical climatic conditions favouring mosquito breeding, longevity and active transmission of the malaria parasite.
