Bangla journalist Samad to interact with Guwahati scribes

GUWAHATI:

Senior Bangla journalist Saleem Samad will interact with the members of Guwahati Press Club through the online medium during a program scheduled for 2 pm on 5 October (Friday) next.

The well-known investigative journalist is expected to speak about various issues including the political situation on the eve of forthcoming general elections in Bangladesh, the public mood over the NRC Assam updation process and the growing need for Guwahati-Dhaka bus & air services etc.

An Ashoka fellow, Hellman-Hammett award recipient and a media rights defender, the Dhaka based outspoken journalist is presently engaged with the acclaimed newspaper, the Bangladesh Monitor, published from Dhaka.

A regular contributor to India Today, Samad will also highlight on growing challenges for committed media persons based in south & southeast Asian countries.
