State Government has taken initiative to develop G.B. Hospital equivalent to All India level Super Specialty Hospital and the work is going on at full swing, said Health minister Badal Choudhury while inaugurating Dialysis Unit, SNCU unit and Fortnight long Diarrhea control programme at Gomati District Hospital today.
He said, State Government and Health Department has taken initiative to reach health service to the common people of each and every village and at the reach of all common people of the state.”
Gomati District Hospital is the first hospital out of Agartala where Dialysis Unit introduced. The kidney patients of Gomati and South districts will be benefited by the unit. Meanwhile, 53 patients have registered their name for dialysis. The APL patients should have to pay Rs 1107 for dialysis and the BPL patients will get the service free of cost. The unit has been opened by a private company through agreement with NHS.
Besides SNCU unit has been introduced at Gomati District hospital today to reduce infant mortality rate in the state. The unit provides an arrangement to keep 12 children in the hospital. Health minister said, the services will be introduced at all district hospitals gradually.

Debbarma, Member of NHS Sujit Chakma and Director of FWPM K.L. Bhowmik were present among the distinguished guests. MS of the hospital Sibaprasad Chakraborty presided over the meeting.
