Veteran athlete Sefali Bardhan, who won bronze medal playing for Indian national team in the recently concluded Asian Masters Athletics tournament returned to her homeland Agartala today.
At Agartala Airport today Sefali Bardhan has been greeted by State Masters athletics association president Rupen Bhowmik. Among the others Secretary Swapan Saha, Joint Secretary Pranab Akhanda and Tripura Players Welfare association secretary Amiya Kumar das remained present.
Both Sefali Bardhan and Bikram Singh Rathore will be felicitated in the coming days. Notably in the recently concluded Asian Masters Athletics tournament at Hindu in China, Bikram Singh Rathore won bronze medal in pole vault event while in 60-64 age category event in long jump Sefali Bardhan also won bronze medal.
Bikram Singh will arrive at the state some days later. In that tournament India secured the second position with 130 medals.
