TMC president Asish Saha stressed on the need of a united fight against the Left Front giving enough indication that his party is inclined to forge alliance with the BJP.
The TMC president was speaking at the Divisional Convention of TMC held at Dr. Abul Kalam Ajad Community Hall in Belonia today.
He said, no party is in a position to claim that the party could come to power individually by ousting Left Front.
“The opposition parties should recognize the reality. Anti –left struggle should be conducted on the basis of united effort” he said and added “we have to take the responsibility to fulfill the aspiration of people in the state”.
Saha, alleged that Left Front Government completely failed to take people to that stage where they should have been. The development activities during long term of Left Front actually came to a naught, he felt.
“The leaders of ruling party are filling their own pocket through misappropriation of government money and corruption with central fund. They introduced autocracy by enhancing the party fund. Now people want freedom from them as they are proceeding to establish reign of communism here”, said Saha. He then felt that without a concerted efforts and unified opposition front the ouster of Left Front would never be materialized.
Among others former MLA Nakul Das, TMC leader Debabarata Baidya, former MLA Amal Mallik, Susankar Bhowmik were present in the convention. Block TMC president Prasanta Sen presided over the meeting. A rally of TMC covers different streets of the town at 5 p.m. after the convention. The rally ended at Trinamool Bhavan.
