As CPI-M alleges of undemocratic situation prevails ahead of LS Poll, BJP claims of 'good' atmosphere

Preparation is on a peak, as the state to go for 17th Lok Sabha poll on April 11. Representatives from different political parties on Monday met at Agartala state guest house and held an extensive talk with the state election commission.

The political parties also placed their demands with the election commission. However, coming out from the meeting BJP spokes person Dr. Ashok Sinha claimed that atmosphere is absolutely fine enough to conduct Lok Sabha poll. Mr. Sinha also thanked the election commission and claimed 2018 assembly election in Tripura was an exemplary for the country as no oppositions has come up with any complaints. Meantime, CPI-M state secretary Goutam das reiterated that democracy is still in stake in Tripura.

Moreover, Congress representative Amrit Lal Saha taking part in the all party meeting demanded the election commission for adequate security arrangements across the state for the poll ensuring free and fare election. He also demanded to identify the sensitive polling stations and take necessary arrangements in this regard.    

Meantime, the CPI state president Ranjit Majumder demanded the election commission to take an initiative on resuming the functioning of legal party offices across the state so as to bridge the gap of communication with the common masses of the state.   

The IPFT state additional secretary Mangal Debbarma however on Monday took part in the all party meet and demanded the state election commission to ensure free and fare election. He also opined that election shall be held as a festive mood in this state.
