Works of Sonamura Head Post Office and Post Office of Radhanagar under Belonia Subdivision suspended during last 15 days as modern equipments of the post offices went out of order.
Sources said that modern machine of Sonamura Head Post Office and internet service of Radhanagar Post Office went out of order. Radhakishorepur Post Office of Udaipur is the higher authority of both the post offices.
At the same time the service of agents suspended at both the post offices during last fortnight. The depositors of the post offices failed to deposit or withdraw fund from both the post offices during last two weeks.
Sources said that the depositors are going back home after arriving in the post offices for withdrawing fund for the purpose of treatment, marriage and business. Agents are also sitting idle without collection and deposit of fund. As a result resentment is prevailing among local people.
On being asked about the problem Post Master of Sonamura HPO failed to give any satisfactory reply. He said, “Five letters sent to Director Office of Agartala after May 8, 2018. The matter went to the authority of North East Regional Office at Shilong. But no reply reached to Sonamura till today.
The works of Sonamura HPO completely suspended now. Although some works of agents conducted at Bishramganj Post Office. About 45 agents are passing idle time in the post office every day.
Sources said that the price of the machine is Rs. 8000 to 10,000 for which transaction of lakhs of rupees suspended during last 15 days.
