Aiming to reach out every nook and corner of the state to enhance the capability of farmers, the state government has taken several initiatives, said Agriculture Minister Pranajit Singha Roy while addressing at a discussion session with the local farmers and agri-scientists at Chataria of Udaipur.
The Minister who was out to pay attention on the problems of farmers residing here, said, every block will have a Krishak Bandhu Center to make farmers aware with scientific assistance. In another such attempt, each district is directed to organize discussion sessions with experts in regular basis, he informed.
Seeking coordination of each department, the Minister called Agriculture, Blocks, Panchayats and most importantly farmers need to come under the single umbrella to boost production.
“A healthy competition among the local farmers could really help the production to mount in several degrees, the departments are also needed to inquire of the necessities and meet the knowledge gaps that the farmers face in several occasion”, claimed he adding that only this could meet the gap between farmers and the administration.
Notably, the department had also distributed as much as 12 thousand twigs of different horticultural products. The procedure following which targeted turnover of cultivation could be reached was also discussed during the program.
