In a tragic incident one employee of AGMC died at G.B. Hospital today due to carelessness of doctors and nurses as he was left without any treatment for more than two hours after admission in the hospital.
Madhusudan Saha (48), a resident of Banamalipur was injured in a street accident in the morning today.
Sources said Saha, a Group- D staff of AGMC was run down by a Tata –H car when he was crossing the road towards ILS Hospital at about 11-30 a.m. Immediately he was shifted to Emergency section of G.B. Hospital. Then the authority sent him to MS-1. But he remained there without any treatment for two hours.
No doctor or nurse attended the serious patient for two hours. Meanwhile relative of the patients reached there, but they also failed to arrange any treatment for him. At last Saha died at 2-30 p.m. He had wounds on head and hand.
Immediately after his death the relatives of the deceased became violent and they came down into a scuffle with the doctors in allegation of carelessness to attend the patient.
On being informed police reached there from NCC Police Station and G.B. Out Post. At last the patient party filed a case at G.B. Outpost detailing the incident and criminal negligence on the part of the hospital management.
