Speaking to media DM Pankaj Chakraborty said, altogether 2,38,384 voters will exercise their franchise in East Tripura Lok sabha constituency. One Micro Observer will be provided for each booth.
Besides, 36 Sector Officers, 36 police sector officers will be deployed in the district. He further said, CC camera will be installed at every polling booth. Battery will be provided to the booths were power connection will not be available.
Out of 307 polling booths 6 booths will be managed by women polling staffs.
SP Krishnendu Chakraborty said, CRPF will be deployed at 301 polling booths except the 6 booths. Referring the entire subdivision will be brought under coverage of security personnel he said, 25 police pickets will be set up in Khowai district.
