Deputy Speaker of State Assembly Biswa Bandhu Sen and MLA of Kanchanpur Prem Kumar Reang visited fire affected Kanchanpur Bazar today.
General Secretary of State BJP Pratima Bhowmik and State Committee member of BJP Nitish Dey were also accompanied them. DM of North Ravel Hemanta Kumar, DCM Animesh Debbarma were also present from administration during the visit.
They met with 18 affected families whose houses and shops were gutted by the devastating fire yesterday. The administrative authority provided Rs. 5000 to each of the 18 families in presence of vice president of Kanchanpur Mandal Tapendu Nath, BJP State Committee member Rabindra Kar and Bazar Committee Secretary Tablu Barua.
Sources said that SDM and Fire Service Authority will conduct investigation and they will decide about financial assistance to the affected victims.
