ADC administration will publish compilation of Jadu Kalija for revival of lost tribal heritage and culture. For that purpose the work of collecting Lokgatha or Jaduni started last year which are concerned from birth to death of Kokborok speaking people.
The communities like Debbarma, Jamatia, Reang, Kalay, Rupini, Murashing, Tripuri, Noatiaya, Uchai are included among the Kokborok speaking people.
ICA department of ADC organized workshop in different parts of the state for collection of the Lokghatha. Officer of ICA under ADC Ruhi Debbarma said that the collection ended yesterday.
The collection of Jadu Kalijas will be published within few days. As a result Kokborok language will be developed. Besides, Kokborok song will be enriched and preserved for next generation.
