People of Khowai are suffering from acute crisis of drinking water while unbearable heat wave is going on all over the state. At the same time the leaders are performing role of silent spectator.
Sources said that acute crisis of drinking water is going on at Khowai town during last one week. The ruling party had a demand of supplying water for 4 hours in two times daily when they were in opposition. BJP had also demanded to alert people if they could identify any machinery defect during supply of water. But ruling party has forgotten the assurances.
According to sources supply of drinking water is quite irregular in the town during last one week. Water supply remains suspended in the afternoon if they supply water in the morning or water supply remains suspended in the morning if they supply in the afternoon. Even they don’t receive any call from people.
Local people alleged that they are not getting required service from DWS in spite of depositing Rs. 40 for water to Municipal Council in every month.
