A Division Cricket: Chalaman slams BCC by a huge margin of 224 runs

AGARTALA:

Chalaman Sangha holds their second slot comfortably in the ongoing Santosh Memorial ‘A’ division cricket tournament organized by Tripura Cricket association. Today at MBB Stadium Chalaman Sangha defeated BCC by a huge margin of 224 runs. Till now Chalaman Sangha won 5 matches out of 6 matches in the tournament. Batting first Chalaman made 295 runs while in reply BCC bundled out for a mere 71 runs.

In the morning today at MBB Stadium Chalaman Sangha won the toss and elected to bat first. From 50 overs they made 295 for the loss of 7 wickets. Among the batsmen Mithan Debbarma played a brilliant innings but he was very much unlucky as he went out after scoring 93 runs. While among the others Banti Roy made 57 from 27 balls with 8 fours and 3 sixes while Sahahid Abbassi made 56 and Rajib Saha remained unbeaten on 47.

Among the BCC bowlers Chiranjib Debnath picked up 3 wickets. In reply BCC failed to stand in front of some outstanding bowling from the opposition and in the 22nd over the whole team bundled out for 71 runs. Among apart from Sumit (14) and Manir Hossain (10) all the batsmen failed to cross double digit mark. Among the Chalaman Sangha bowlers Amit Ali picked up 3 wickets while Pawan Singh and Laxman Paul picked up 2 wickets each.
