Along with the rest of the nation the Northeastern states of Tripura have celebrated the 71 years of India’s Independence amidst tight security in and around the state on Tuesday.
The main celebration took place at Agartala Assam Rifles Ground where Chief Minister Manik Sarkar has hoisted the tri-color in presence of other dignitaries including the high officials of Tripura police.
CM Manik Sarkar while inspecting the parade performed by several security force wings including the Tripura state police and TSR Jawans has received salute at A R Ground today.
Addressing the programme CM Manik Sarkar said that the nation can be developed more if the resources available in our country can be used properly. He also said that India can be developed in every field in this way and no other countries can beat it in any ways.
However, later several cultural programmes were also been held at AR ground on Tuesday to mark the celebration of 71 years of India’s Independence. Students from various government and non-government schools had performed in the programme.
