Gomati District Police achieved a grand success by arresting 6 accused dacoits within two days of the incident who were involved in looting lakhs of rupees from a petrol pump.
SP of Gomati District gave this information at a press conference organized at Police Head Quarter of the district today.
SP said, the miscreants looted cash Rs. 1.65 lakh and 7 mobile sets from the petrol pump on gun point. Police took the case of looting as challenge after the incident. As a result police led by SP and Subdivision Police Officers arrested 6 persons at wee hours of last night from Killa and Ampi area.
The arrested persons are Sadhan Jamatia (50), Krishna Babu Malsum (38) from Killa area, Swapan Debbarma (38) from Sidhai PS area, Victor Jamatia (39) from Killa, Falgun Jamatia (32) from Ampi and Dayal Jamatia (42) from R.K. Pur PS area.
Police recovered 2 pistols, 7 mobile sets, Rs. 34,830 and a bike, SP added.
Meanwhile all the 6 accused persons have been produced at CGM Court of Udaipur and the court ordered for 8 days police remand.
