4440 bottles of illicit liquor seized by police from Panisagar

AGARTALA /PANISAGAR:

Acting on secret information police led by OC of Panisagar Police Station Bibhas Das seized about 4000 bottles of liquor bottles at Chamtilla of Panisagar from a 6 wheeler truck at about 10 a.m. today.

Meanwhile police arrested truck driver Narendra Nath (35) son of Rameswar Nath, a resident of Netajipara of Kanchanpur.

Narendra said that he took the load of liquor from Lowarpoa area in last night and he was instructed to deliver the items to Ganesh Nath of Panisagar.

According to body print market price of 4440 bottle is Rs. 9 lakh. The truck caught red handed by police when it at Panisagar by National Highway after crossing Churaibari Gate and Bagbasa Outpost.

At the same time OC along with police staff was waiting to seize the items on the basis of secret information. It is also suspected that Churaibari Outpost and Bagbasa Outpost are helping accused Ganesh Nath in exchange of bribe while Ganesh is fleeing in connection to the case filed by SP Manik Das against him.

Israel attacks Iran's Isfahan town

It comes few days after Iran had attacked Israel in response to an alleged attack on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital of Damascus leading to the killing of seven top officers of the Iran Revolutionary Guard Corps including General Mohammed Reza Zahedi.
