Police recovered succeeded to recover 32 bags of cement allotted for government construction from an abandoned place of Shishu bihar Chowmuhani at Karailong area of Teliamura in last night.
Meanwhile allegation raised against a GRS staff under Jagannath Bari Panchayat of Teliamura Block as BDO Kamal Debbarma served a show caused notice against the accused GRS staff.
Sources said that GRS staff Jiban Shil J.B. Panchayat collected 51 bags cement, 105 GCI Sheet and 189 Kg 8 mm rod from store of the panchayat for construction of pucca toilet of 17 beneficiaries of the panchayat yesterday. But the staff allegedly sold the items to some persons of Shishu bihar area instead of taking those to panchayat.
Meanwhile some extortion collector mafias of ruling party assembled there to collect share of the illegal fund. Meanwhile the Khowai District vice president of BJP Asish Debnath got the news. Immediately he contacted police to recover the construction materials from GRS staff. In the meantime the GRS staff brought the cement bags out from his house and unloaded those to a ground behind Gas Godown. But police failed to seek out GCI sheet and rod.
Meanwhile BDO Kamalesh Debbarma called on Jiban Shil and started interrogation. But he failed to get satisfactory reply about the rod and GCI sheet. Immediately he served show cause notice against Shil. BDO passed an order to submit investigation report by constituting a 3 members team led by Junior Engineer Swapan Das.
