As part of women empowerment, the Tripura government has decided to distribute by-cycles for every girl child across the state once promoted to Class-IX. "By-cycles shall be distributed to all the girl child irrespective of castes who are promoted to Class-IX in all government aided schools," said Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb today.
The CM was addressing a gathering in a programme today. He said, "A total of 30,000 by-cycles shall be distributed across the state every soon."
"Earlier only SC and STs were provided with by-cycles under the Left era," adding to this Mr. Deb said, "But we have decided to provide by-cycles to all girl child irrespective of any caste." He also said, "To give a boost to the state's education sector, the Tripura government for the first is going to introduce NCERT curriculum and syllabi from this academic session."
"With the implementation of NCERT syllabus across the state, one can compete in national level education sector so as to build up his or her career," saying this Mr. Deb added, "The students of our state from now once this NCERT syllabus is introduced, can sit for any national level competitive examinations rather than moving abroad like Mumbai, Delhi and Kolkata or any other places abroad."
Meantime the Chief Minister also said, "As part of the introduction of this NCERT syllabus across the state, the state education department has scheduled to held parent teachers and students meet in every private and government aided schools from March 3 to March 5 this year."
"Until the parents teachers relation is strengthened up, their students cannot gown up with education and score good marks in examinations," adding to this the CM said, "The cordial relation among the parents and teachers shall help grow one's child and score big in schools."
