At least three persons injured seriously in an incident of attack on Dhaki during immersion of idol at the end of Kalipuja at Sabroom today.
Sources said that the incident occurred at Bhumihin Tila of Sabroom in the evening at the house of Krishna Pal. The house owner was preparing for immersion at the end of Kalipuja in the evening today.
Accordingly Dhaki Nimai Das appeared there with his group to participate in the programme. In the meantime a group of miscreants led by Kutan Das (son of Khaga Das) attacked Nimai Das. As a result Nimai Das (32), Pradip Das (35) and Antar Das (12) injured by attack.
Immediately the injured were shifted to Sabroom Hospital. The doctors gave 8 stitches on head of Nimai. Later he has been shifted to Udaipur District Hospital for better treatment. Remaining two have been released after preliminary treatment. The incident created lot of reaction. Meanwhile more than 100 men and women have gheraoed Sabroom Police Station on demand of arrest of Kutan Das. The gherao is continuing till the last report came in.
