A total of 3,09,920 voters will exercise their franchise in the assembly poll, 2018 in Gomati district including 1,56,743 male and 153,177 female voters, said DM of Gomati District at press conference after meeting with higher officials engaged in election duty and another meeting with delegates of different political parties at Udaipur today.
He said, “36 Company CRPF will be deployed in Gomati district before assembly poll. Meanwhile 10 Company already arrived in the district. The remaining 20 Companies will arrive tomorrow and 6 companies will arrive later on.”
Giving the details of deployment of present 10 company CRPF, DM Revel Hemenda Kumar said, 3 Companies have been deployed at Karbook, two at Amarpur, two companies at Ampinagar, one at Kakraban and one at KBI School in Udaipur and one at Samatalpara school of Baghma.
He said, “395 polling stations will be opened in the entire Gomati District including 14 new booth centres and 5 shifted booths from Kabook subdivision. Among the booths 3 booths have 1200 or more than 1200 voters, 74 booths have 1000 or more than 1000 voters. Besides 7 polling booths of Gomati district will be conducted by women polling staffs. Each of the women conducted polling booths will be opened under each of 7 constituencies of the district.”
DM further added, “192 Micro Observers, 44 Sector Officers will be engaged to conduct the polling process in Gomati district” According to DM among the 395 booths 4 are critical, 12 centers of critical venereal, 141 are venereal and 238 centers are general. Among the constituencies R.K. Pur, Amarpur and Matabari are general. Baghma and Karbook are ST constituencies and Kakraban – Shalgara is SC constituency.
