22 Tripura State Rifles Jawan injured in a road mishap at Baramura hill

AGARTALA:

At least 22 Tripura State Rifles (TSR) Jawans were injured critically at Baramura hill area under the West Tripura District on Monday night. The incident took place after the police bus carrying the Jawans fell into a gauge while taking a sharp turn. 

The bus carrying the TSR jawans of 8th battalion were moving towards the battalions headquarter from Dhalai district’s Lalcherra.

However, all the injured TSR jawans were immediately rushed to the Agartala GB Pant Hospital after the rescue operation, where they are currently undergoing treatment. 

The state health and family welfare department has immediately constituted a special medical team for the treatment of all the 22 critically injured TSR jawans at Agartala GB Pant Hospital. 

Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb along with the state health minister Sudip Roy Barmam and the Director General of Police (DGP) A.K. Shukla rushed to the hospital on Monday night and took a stock of the situation of the injured TSR jawans.

The Chief Minister while visiting the injured jawans has directed the concerned and the attending doctors to take up all necessary arrangements in their treatment. 

Meantime, the health minister Sudip Roy Barmam while rushing to the hospital has expressed his grief over the incident.
