Acting on secret information a special team of GRPF and State Police recovered huge amount of contraband items from Shilchar -Agartala passenger train today.
Sources said that GRPF, staffs of Panisagar Police Station, Churaibari Police Station, DSP and DIB Bikramjit Sukla started raid in the train from Churaibari Station and found 15 bags of Escough Cough Syrup by searching different compartments of the train. Altogether 1582 Escough cough syrups found from the bags.
Meanwhile police arrested a youth named Joynul Haque in connection with the incident.
