The 150th birth day of Father on Nation Mahatma Gandhi observed at Khowai district with befitting respect yesterday. The central programme of the district was organized at Khowai Town Hall with initiative of District Education Officer.
MLA Pinaki Das Choudhury, president of Khowai Cricket Association Manoj Roy, social worker Subrata Majumder, chairman of SC Welfare Committee Samir Das were present in the meeting.
District Education Officer Pradip Das presided over the meeting. Convener of District level Birth Centenary Celebration Committee Rajib Majumder delivered the welcome address. During speech the leaders discussed about work full life of Gandhiji.
