Inter Office Sports and Cultural association organized Inter Office Volleyball tournament has been postponed for 6 days and as per the new schedule the tournament will start from December 19.

BSF today thrashed Melaghar Biramba Kalibari team and thus made place in the final of the ongoing Akhil Memorial Prize money Volleyball tournament organized by Agartala Volleyball club.

In the first semifinal on December 8 BSF will play against Biramba Kalibari of Melaghar while in the second semifinal on December 9 Tripura Police ‘A’ team will play against Tripura Police ‘B’ team.

Krishna Saha memorial 41st Men and 31st Women State level Volleyball tournament will start from December 22 and will continue till December 24.

22nd East Zone National Handball tournament will be held from December 21-24 as this year the tournament will be held at Gushkara in Kolkata.

Rising Star Volleyball club of Khumulwng today defeated Umakanta Play centre in 3-0 straight sets in the ongoing Akhil Memorial Prize money Volleyball tournament.

Today was the last day of the tournament at Andhra Pradesh as on the last day Madhumita won gold medal in Under 16 Girl’s 200 meter sprint. She took only 26.28 seconds time to secure the first place in the list.

In the under 14 Boy’s High Jump event Abhishek Lagardo secured the gold medal. He jumped over a distance of 1.74 cm. this three-day long tournament will come to an end tomorrow.

Headmistress Nabamita Dey Acharjee thanked to each and everyone for the successful completion of the event. Also on behalf of the school authorities golden girl Dipa Karmakar has been felicitated.

BCA first year student of ICFAI University Tripura Mr. Sanjay Debbarma was today felicitated at the inaugural function for his outstanding performance to win gold medal in National Muaythai Championship. 

The tournament will be held with the imitative of Agartala Volleyball club. Willing participating teams have to enroll their names along with entry fee of Rs 300 on or before November 20.

Also in the meeting the fixture of state games will be announced and discussions will be made on the participation of Tripura team in upcoming 36th National Games.

The camp will be held daily from 3.30 pm to 5.00 pm. To spread the popularity and to train young talented players this initiative has been taken by the club.

Regarding the tournament to form the team a selection camp has been held at Ramthakur Boy’s school field.

Last time this tournament held at Guwahati where Tripura won total 16 medals including 5 gold medals.

On September 7 selection camp will be held to from the Sub Junior team while on September 14 selection camp will be held to from the Junior team.

145 athletes from Sadar Subdivision remained present at Badharghat Dasarath Deb Stadium as the camp was schedule to start from 10.00 am.
