Today was the last day of the tournament at Andhra Pradesh as on the last day Madhumita won gold medal in Under 16 Girl’s 200 meter sprint. She took only 26.28 seconds time to secure the first place in the list.
In the under 14 Boy’s High Jump event Abhishek Lagardo secured the gold medal. He jumped over a distance of 1.74 cm. this three-day long tournament will come to an end tomorrow.

In Under 16 Girl’s 100 meter sprint event Madhumita simply made storm at track and field and with 12.33 seconds she moved to the semifinal of the tournament.

In this tournament Tripura also will take participate in the Men’s category only. Tripura team will leave for the tournament on October 19 by train.
Kids, Women and people of different ages took part in the tournament. The tournament started from 8.00 am in front of the club premises.
Last time this tournament held at Guwahati where Tripura won total 16 medals including 5 gold medals.
145 athletes from Sadar Subdivision remained present at Badharghat Dasarath Deb Stadium as the camp was schedule to start from 10.00 am.
Tripura also celebrated this day with several sporting events and paid tribute to Major Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary.
After the inaugural ceremony sports equipments has been distributed while in the prize distribution ceremony in the evening.
General Secretary of Tripura Athletics Association Biplab Kumar Datta announced the team today. Tripura will take part in Under 14, 16, 18 and Under 20 category Boy’s and Girl’s section.
Athletes from 8 districts along with Tripura Sports School, Sai Sag and Tripura Police took part in the tournament.
With the joint initiative of Tripura Sports Council and West District Sports Department and in cooperation with Tripura Athletics association, the tournament started today
Athletes from Udaipur, Amarpur and Karbook subdivision took part in this selection camp as the number has been around 150.
Total 53 athletes have been selected in the West district team in both the categories as this team has been selected from the West district level tournament which took place yesterday.
With 85 points Sadar Subdivision became champion while with 56 and 30 points respectively Jirania and Mohanpur subdivision bagged the second and third place respectively.
In the Gomati district event Moinuddin Choudhury defeated Sayan Deb by 5-11, 11-8 and 11-5 points while in the Dhalai district event Subhasish Das defeated Aditya Das by 10-1, 10-8 points.
