18th State Masters Athletics tournament will be held on December 9 at Badharghat stadium. The tournament will start from 9.00 am.
From the meeting today Narayan Banik has been selected as President, Manik Lal Deb has been selected as General Secretary while Pranab Saha has been selected as the Treasurer.
Today was the last day of the tournament at Andhra Pradesh as on the last day Madhumita won gold medal in Under 16 Girl’s 200 meter sprint. She took only 26.28 seconds time to secure the first place in the list.
In the under 14 Boy’s High Jump event Abhishek Lagardo secured the gold medal. He jumped over a distance of 1.74 cm. this three-day long tournament will come to an end tomorrow.
Headmistress Nabamita Dey Acharjee thanked to each and everyone for the successful completion of the event. Also on behalf of the school authorities golden girl Dipa Karmakar has been felicitated.
Both Madhumita Deb and coach Bikalpa Rudra Paul was very much pleased on this performance while on behalf of the state athletic association congratulatory message has been conveyed to Madhumita.
In Under 16 Girl’s 100 meter sprint event Madhumita simply made storm at track and field and with 12.33 seconds she moved to the semifinal of the tournament.
Two-day long State Yoga Tournament will start from tomorrow as the tournament will be held at Ranirbazar Yoga Hall. From 3.30 pm onwards the tournament will get underway.
3rd MBAI India National Muaythai and Muay Boran Championship were held at SAI-STC, NEHU Complex in Shilliong from November 2-5 where Tripura won 18 medals.
For the upcoming National Games, Tripura team in Football, Hockey and Judo have been announced respectively today by Tripura School Sports Board.
Tripura Under 17 Athletics team left today for the upcoming National School Under 17 Athletics tournament which will be held at Bhopal from November 7-10.

Tripura will take part in all Under 14, Under 17 and Under 19 sections in the tournament and for this upcoming tournament.
All the interested players of Sadar ‘A’ have to remain present at 8.00 am along with their age proof certificate.
Also in the meeting the fixture of state games will be announced and discussions will be made on the participation of Tripura team in upcoming 36th National Games.
The tournament will be held at Abhoynagar New Model School field. The prize distribution ceremony will be held on October 4 at 11.00 am.
The members of the association believe that both these athletes not only made proud of their country but also highlighted the name of Tripura in the biggest stage.
Sadar Subdivision level Inter School Athletics tournament ended today as in Under 14, 17 and 19 categories the tournament held in both Boy’s and Girl’s section.
Last time this tournament held at Guwahati where Tripura won total 16 medals including 5 gold medals.
145 athletes from Sadar Subdivision remained present at Badharghat Dasarath Deb Stadium as the camp was schedule to start from 10.00 am.
Tripura also celebrated this day with several sporting events and paid tribute to Major Dhyan Chand on his birth anniversary.
General Secretary of Tripura Athletics Association Biplab Kumar Datta announced the team today. Tripura will take part in Under 14, 16, 18 and Under 20 category Boy’s and Girl’s section.
The meeting will start from 6.00 pm as in this general meeting several discussions will be made such as state level Judo tournament and to take part in National judo tournament.
